I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings in some of the most incredible places in Scotland, but there’s something about Carlowrie Castle that always makes my heart skip a beat (usually when I see that light hitting the stone towers just right). From its grand interiors to the impeccably landscaped grounds, every inch of this venue is designed for beauty & celebration.

Photographing her against the textured walls of Carlowrie’s interiors made for portraits that look straight out of Vanity Fair. And her walk down the grand staircase during the ceremony? Pure magic. The look on the groom’s face said it all - & yes, I caught that moment.

As night fell, the castle lit up, the fairy lights twinkled, & the party properly kicked off. We stole one last moment outside, just the two of them, before heading back into the celebration. That blur of movement, the lights, the soft focus? That’s what it feels like when the day’s gone by in a beautiful flash.
